Woke up earlier than usual this morning. A feat in itself because I am so not a morning person.
I have made a huge goal for myself this year– to write (read finish) 6 books this year. We shall see if I get there.
I have, of course the new Guys and Godmothers series that is at the top of my list to get done.
There is one book that I nearly finished last year, and completed earlier this year.
But I would like to do a good edit on it one more time before I call it good.
I also have four other books, two contemporary romances, and two historical ones that I would love to get ready to go too.
Not to mention the handful of new projects on my mind, all in the speculative fiction area. (Though those are very exciting and I find myself drawn to them more than anything.) But they need a lot more world building before I can really get into them.
Not to mention a couple of older projects I want to finish too.
So to say I have a lot of options is a bit of an understatement.
But I am excited. I love the idea of checking items off my to-do list.
And so far I am doing well. I have the second Guys and Godmothers book right on track, and the third one roughly plotted out. Roark was fun, but Bruce is turning out to be quite a complicated fellow. It has been a nice surprise.
Which makes me excited about the third book. I can’t wait to get my hands on Jason’s story. If it continues to develop like Bruce and Roark’s did, then I will be in for a lot of surprises that aren’t on the outline. (I love that).
So to say my year will be busy is a bit of an understatement, but I am looking forward to it.
