(Watched a little Fast Five the other night, wanted to add some Vin. And hey, it’s Vin. 🙂 )

As I finish up one project, I am antsy to work on a new one. I have a whole plan of stuff that I want to get done this year. So antsy about it, I went to look at one of the projects I was planning on working on, and as I look at it with a more critical eye, I don’t know if it’s the story I really want to work on after all.

I had plans of shifting gears completely from the fairy tale realm to something more modern (where I can use contractions again…. Contractions, I miss them so much). Yet the project I had ear-marked for said work, when I went to take a look at it, I hate to say, I’m just not feeling it.

I am like quite a few writers out there,  where I have stories started, some with as many as 100 pages written on them, but still not finished, and this year, I really wanted to get a few of them finished up and out of my computer, into the world for people to enjoy.

(I blame this desire to get stuff done on Michelle Pillow and Mandy M. Roth because they both are work-a-holics, and they are trying to turn me into one. My procrastination-based heart is having a hard time, but I am trying. )

Yet, the more I look at these started stories, the more I’m wondering if I have the patience to rework them and send them out. I might just be better off starting over, creating new stories and going from there.

I can’t decide. 🙂

How do you decide? Do you leave stuff unfinished, or do you finish everything before moving on?
