I’m happy to be in a new year.

I don’t know about you, but 2020 was pretty exhausting.

Pandemics are typically outside of most people’s imagination. And let me say, this was not on my list for “things to do in 2020.” As a hairdresser, this pandemic made a lot of changes in my work, for sure. Between new, extra steps required for making sure we’re doing everything to protect ourselves and our clients, and all the goofiness that goes with that.

Like me thinking that the bleach-water hand towels had mold on them and throwing them all out. Only later realizing that it was just hair color that got on several, and the bleach broke it down, looking like fungus.

Anyway, it’s been crazy.

Fortunately, so far, I have not personally contracted COVID-19, and it has not infiltrated my immediate family.

So far. Because it’s not over yet. I’m waiting for my opportunity to get the vaccine.

I can’t complain too much, though, because as shitty of a year as it was, I had a lot of things happen for me with publishing.

More than I realized until I started looking back to see what all I did.

That’s a lot of stuff

And that doesn’t include the cover art and book formatting I did for others this past year as well.

That’s a whole other post.

But it makes me happy that I can say I closed out two series this year — The Celestial Springs Salon Series (which, I know, it’s taken forever) and the Vampire Mythicals Series. I’m excited to be moving forward.

Releasing so many new books this coming year, I’m so thrilled about it.

Moving into sci-fi Romance, and frankly, it’s been a long time coming! I’ve always loved the genre, and you may not know this, but my first book was sci-fi romance. Though it was so long ago, there wasn’t really a place for it in the market–romance didn’t want it, and neither did scifi, so I was stuck holding a book that I loved, and characters that I loved, with no place to put them. Surge forward fifteen years, and boom, sci-fi romance is a whole thing, and there’s finally a place for me to write these.

So I’m diving in, head first.

Well, after I give you all my Time Traveler.

Can’t Remember Dick is coming, and she is the famed Time Traveler from the Vampire Mythical books, as well as the Mythical Knight books. So be ready. It’s not what you think. But it’s exactly what you need.
