Hope you get to have a great Valentine’s Day, I know that mine are usually all sorts of eventful.
I do believe last year, I did a very “Anti-Valentine’s Day” and went shooting with 4 single girlfriends. It was quite fun, because I’d never shot a gun before. No, they only let me touch the .38 revolver, but honestly, after watching us shoot, I don’t blame them at all.
Valentine’s Day was not a favorite holiday for me and my hubby and now that we’ve been together for almost 13 years (read “eternity”) and can barely remember the life of dating before we were together, we tend to do practical things for it, rather than romantic.
Like we’re hoping this weekend to go see Star Wars TPM in 3D, because hubby’s never seen a 3D movie, and, well, duh, it’s Star Wars. Our uber-nerd is showing, I know. But that would be romantic for us–no kids, two hours watching a great movie (I know, some of you would debate that… at least I’ve seen it enough I know when it’s okay to hop up and go pee, and I won’t miss anything cool), and eating movie popcorn. How much more awesome can that be?
What are your Valentine’s plans?
